DSH is missing or incompatible
Section titled “DSH is missing or incompatible”DSH Console follows audited DSH releases. This release requires DSH 0.2.1-rc.2 and is tested through 0.2.1-rc.2; the compatible prerelease may differ from npm latest. The launcher reports the executable selected from PATH before any profile change. Inspect it with dsh --version and command -v dsh on macOS/Linux, (Get-Command dsh).Source in PowerShell, or where dsh in Command Prompt, then repair it explicitly:
Plugin admission on newer releases is still governed by DSH compatibility checks; Console never grants version exemptions or bypasses Host restrictions.
npm install --global @deepseek-ai/dsh@0.2.1-rc.2The launcher does not modify global DSH. Older, missing, unexecutable, or invalid installations block startup; newer unaudited versions only warn. A source checkout launched with pnpm start resolves its local Console package, unlike an installed published launcher.
The Console asks for a credential
Section titled “The Console asks for a credential”Use the masked first-run dialog or run /provider to configure a supported writable DSH credential source. DSH decides whether a source is writable. Saved DeepSeek credentials take precedence over environment values; a writable environment-backed source can be replaced by saving through DSH. Read-only sources must be changed through their owning provider.
A model is unavailable
Section titled “A model is unavailable”Open /model and select a route exposed by the active DSH profile. Resume intentionally fails rather than silently replacing a historical model that DSH can no longer resolve.
Configured HTTP MCP connections
Section titled “Configured HTTP MCP connections”DSH 0.2.1-rc.2 uses @modelcontextprotocol/client 2.2.0, affected by GHSA-6prh-2h8m-c8cw. An HTTP MCP server’s cross-origin redirect can expose custom request headers; 307 and 308 redirects can also expose request bodies. Temporarily disable HTTP MCP connections or use stdio, which is unaffected by this issue. The default Console profile configures no MCP servers. DSH has not incorporated the upstream fix, and Console does not override its MCP dependency.
Processing Office archives
Section titled “Processing Office archives”If you use DSH Office components, the SDK-resolved @deepseek-ai/libreoffice-kit 0.1.5 pins fflate 0.8.2, affected by GHSA-px8p-9vwx-vf98. A malformed ZIP64 archive can make unzipSync loop indefinitely during document inspection. Avoid processing untrusted Office archives until DSH adopts the upstream fix. Console does not override this SDK dependency.
A Session does not appear
Section titled “A Session does not appear”The current prerelease lists persisted top-level Main dsh-console-* Sessions with trajectory events for the current working directory. Empty startup, completion, Side, delegated Agent, and other-directory Sessions are excluded. Confirm that the launcher uses the same working directory and DSH_HOME.
/plan does not appear
Section titled “/plan does not appear”/plan is supplied by the active DSH profile, not hard-coded by Console. Type / or run /help after startup to trigger command discovery. If it remains unavailable, confirm that the selected DSH profile includes the plan command plugin.
Ctrl+/ does not switch conversations
Section titled “Ctrl+/ does not switch conversations”The shortcut is active only after a Side conversation exists. Start one with /btw <question>. Console accepts the legacy control byte and enhanced keyboard protocol forms, but a terminal or multiplexer may reserve the chord before it reaches the application.
An idle Todo still shows an unfinished item
Section titled “An idle Todo still shows an unfinished item”The Todo tray renders the latest canonical snapshot. An unfinished item after the turn ends means the model did not mark it complete; it does not indicate hidden background work. Press Ctrl+T to inspect the full list.
The model cannot use an image
Section titled “The model cannot use an image”Confirm that the selected model supports image input and that the attachment card appears in the user message. DSH Console submits a canonical image attachment reference, not a workspace path. A model choosing an unrelated file tool is model or tool-routing behavior rather than image admission.
Terminal keys or colors look wrong
Section titled “Terminal keys or colors look wrong”Run in a regular PTY, confirm that TERM describes the terminal, and try another built-in theme. Use dsh-console --debug when collecting diagnostics. DSH Console does not modify global IDE keybindings.
